In any city or town, tensions exist between the wealthy and the poor.

False. I think that in most towns or cities people relize that there is a "wealthy" group and a "poor" group, but I do not think that there is tension between the 2. They may have occasional arguements, but I think that the 2 are very seperated, and they may not see or connect with eachother very often. I know in the city where we live there is poor and wealthy parts, and they are very seperate with different places, such as movie theaters and grocery stores.

False, in most cities and town there is low to no tension. One of the small amounts of reasons for tension is if a rich person gets into an argument with a poor person. Besides rich and poor people don't usally see each other.

false.People that are poor and people that are wealthy normaly are divided so normally they dont dispute or have any tension but in some places like in south america disputes between the poor and the rich happen commonly.

True. I think that there is tension between the wealthy and the poor people because, some poor people envy the wealthy. Some wealthy people think that if only poor people worked a little harder they could make more money. The problem is that we are too separate because if we got to know one another's problems we could have a better understanding of each other.

Mostly true, sometimes false. I think that in some places, there are high tensions between the rich and poor, where the rich try to stay away from the poor and get more opportunities. However, in some places, there is no distinction (besides certain visible aspects, no social aspects)between rich and poor.

I am torn between true and false. In some places there is no tension but in other places there is. In some places the wealthy people get better opportunities than poor people. Here in Rochester there is not much tension between the rich and poor but in every city there will be people who discriminate between rich and poor.

True. In all cities there the "poor" people and "wealthy" people. There is a tension between them. "Poor" people feel that "rich" people think they are better and that they don't have any problems. That isn't necessarily true. "Rich" people think that "poor" people just don't work hard enough. That isn't true either.

False. Most towns or cities you probably know the wealthy and the rich people. Some are friends and some are not. The poor kids still ma have a great attitude to the rich kids even though they are poor. When the poor kids have a great attitude, that inspires the rich kids to be nice to the poor. There could be occasional agruements about stuff but nothing like big gang fights and slashing of tires or stuff like that.

False. I think in most cities the wealthy people and the poor people don't see each other much and the wealthy people don't really care about the poor people living in the city

Flase. i think that the wealthy in towns and city try to help the poor. There aere some wealthy people who probibly have some arguements with the poor but i think most of the time the wealthy try there best to help and give the poor money.

It could be True, since some poor people want what the wealthier people have. There would be a high tension there since one group is envious of what the other one has. An example would be: You have two siblings. Sometimes if one sibling gets more attention, the other one (will become the green eyed monster) will become jealous and the sibling would do anything to seek attention.
It could be false since we live in seperate areas of the town. That no tension is built.

I mean, that there would be no tension.

True and false. I think true because some wealthy people don't like poor people because they think that they don't work hard enough. For example these people on my street aren't that wealthy, and their neighbors are really wealthy and the wealthier people talk about them a lot, saying that they are poor because they don't work hard enough. I think false because a lot of people don't look at weather people are rich or poor.

False, becaus some people werent born with the money that they might need. For example my family doesnt have enough money right now to buy a car but im still going to school and were still family.Money isnt everything

True and False. It could be True because people rich people may get better jobs than poor people. But poor people tend to not look good. A recent news article talks about how people with tattoos are highly unlikely to get a job. Example: If you try to get a job at Disney World, you are not allowed to have a tattoo. But also true because people can beg on the streets, and rich people don't give them anything, this could result in a fight. Also, people who win the lottery, and big amounts of money, tend to waste it on bad things (Example: drugs, beer, etc.). False because most cities are divided. I'm not trying to offend people, bu the lower class people usually live in the city and higher class outside of the city. This is true for cities like Rochester.

I think that this statement is false because you said any town. In some towns there is tension because the poverty is to such extreme levels that the poorer people begin to envy the rich, thinking that they could coast through life if they had money. The richer people may donate to a charity from time to time but never really help the more unfortunate people in there particular city. On the other hand in some towns everyone might make an average income while a few people make more and some needing help from family but still making it through life. There would be no tension here because everyone is pretty much at the same level, the middle class. Which is disappearing so eventually all town will be like the first with very rich people and very poor people. I think this is because the poor just cant get ahead and are to busy catching up on debt that they can't get ahead. while the rich just keep gathering more money and investing or saving it and then over time it will grow.

True and False, although many places people can exist together without almost any problems, many neighborhoods and cities struggle from tensions that are built between the too. Sometimes the amount of money a family has brings about expectations of them such as their religion, their voting beliefs (Democrat, Republican, or Independent Party Participant), their expected education, even the food that they buy.

False, through my life, i never felt tensions exist between the wealthy and the poor. for instance, the rochester no tension at all. all same and fair.
but some people has some issue with poor and wealthy, like poor people dreamt of wealthy people and some poor people try to get near to wealthy people and get some benefits from them but very unusually. some rich people thinks the money they got can do everything in the world but it isn't. like, if they got in some problems, they solve it with money.

Depends what town. If you live in a rural area, you are just trying to make money, but in the urban environment, rich people think that they are better and poor people know this, and there is definately tension

I think it depends on where you live. If you live in small or medium sixed town there might not be any because the poor and rich dont meet very often. However steroetypes can greatly affect a persons opinion about another person or group of people.

I think that there is tenshion between the two, but i don't like it some rich people like to think there all that (which i have seen before). but you dont see a million air over at a poor mans house just to say hi. I mean that you don't even see that many rich people at all

I'm neutral in this. There will always be tensions between different groups of people. It is human nature. However, that does not necessarily mean that conflicts arise between social classes.

False. I agree with Anna. When you see someone who is richer or poorer then you, you don't aoid them. You just walk past them. There is a street downtown that has all these really nice mansions. THen the next street has all these houses that aren't in very good shape. There is poor and rich everywhere.
