False. The old saying "You cant judge a book by its cover" has some meaning in this novel. In the book it talks about the type of girls greaser and socs date. Mostly, they stay with their own kind, but when Johnny, Two-Bit and Ponyboy are at the movies and the meet Marcia and Cherry, they really like eachother. They never would have been together because the boys are greasers and the girls are socs, but they found that love is not only in what you look like, but in fact it is what is inside. I have friends that may not be the best looking, but I saw what wasinside and now we are great friends.

p.s. nobody at school.

False, people should be judged by who they are. From the outside Ponyboy looks like he can't read,is a school dropout, and is just not a nice guy. That is a completely wrong judgement, ponyboy loves to read, does great in school, and he is a nice guy. On the outside someone could look like the worst person who ever lived and you are suprised the person is standing on the sidewalk and not standing in jail, but on the inside the person could be the nicest person that ever lived. The only thing you can tell from Ponyboy's apperence is that he is a greaser.

False people should not be judged by how they look.People can be very different from what they look like. But aaaa it never hurts to look at somebody before you go talk to them.

False, people should not be judged by how they look or act, because some times friends can look really sweet on the outside, but inside they can be mean to the core.
I agree with Anna that Cherry, Marcia, Johnny, Two-Bit and Ponyboy would have never met because of their appearance.
In lady and the Tramp they were both from two different worlds, but once they got to get to know each other they ate spagetti and fell in love. :)

False. People SHOULD'NT be judged by their apperance. But people do judge people by the apperance, it's the first impression. If you see someone on the street who is dirty and really secluded, chances are you would'nt go up and say hello. Your first impression is that they are mean and scary. But if you do go up to them, you might find that they are nice and you have made a great friend. All because you didn't judge them by their appreance.

False, people should not be judged by their appearance. If you judge people by the way that they look then you might see someone that doesn't look appealing to you, but just may be the nicest person that you could meet. It works the other way around too, you could meet someone that is very appealing and they might be very horrible and treat other people badly.

False. You shouldn't judge people by how they look, because they might be the nicest person you've ever met, and you didn't even notice because you wouldn't talk to them because of how they looked. For example, Ugly Betty. She's smart, nice, and a hard worker. But people don't notice because she is ugly (hence, Ugly Betty). If you judge someone by how they look, you could miss out on a great person.

True or False.

True: For example let's say one day you and your freind are along walking down the street. Then suddenly some guy appears with a gun in his hand and a ski mask and a hoodie. He's walking straight towards you. I think you should be able to judge him right there. That he is a bad person who is just about to rob you.

This is a tough choice =P

False:

Well you shouldn't judge people if there black, have earrings (boys), or have green hair for example. You should talk to them, get to know them. Then you will know wether to judge them or not. If there bad, well then there bad. If there good, then maybe they can be your friend.

So it all really depends.

False but partly true. False because if you see someone who is dressed real tuff and looks mean doesn't mean that he is really mean it just shows that he wants to look tuff. True because like william said if a guy with a gun and a ski mask was walking toward you our in a bank ect you should think that he is going to rob you our the bank.

False. its like the saying htat omse people say dont judge a book by its cover. Its like greasers and socs teh scos think greasers are nobodys and teh greasers thinks socs think there everybody. When actually they are both the same.If you think about it, if oyu look at osmeone and say i think there ugly and then you get to know that person you know looks dont matter its what is inside, and if you have a friend who thinks looks matter and dont want to be your friend because of how you look i dont think there your true friend.

False. People should get to know each other before judging them on how they look. I agree with what Anna k. and Natile l. said with that Marcia and Cherry would never got to know Ponyboy and Johnny because of how they looked different to each other.

False. People should NOT judge people on their looks. It is not fair. For example they way the greasers dress looks like their bad and can't do certain things like be good at studies and things like that. But, Ponyboy is a good student and is very smart.

False, because people might look ugly on the outside but beautiful on the inside. For example cherry looks all tuff but she's really nice.

Easy as 1, 2, FALSE! Why would you randomly choose someone to be the manager of Paychex because they look civilized and normal*. In real life, people are judged by the actions they make. Like Cherry in the Outsider's. She judged Dally by not liking him because he talked dirty and was not a very nice guy. if you are a Christian, and believe in the Bible and what it says, you would know that when you die, Jesus is not going to judge you because you were wise (never drunk, did drugs, etc.), or gave money to charity, he is going to judge you one what you have done in your life, basing your judgment on the Ten Commandments that he wrote, and if you followed them and repented for sins you did commit.

-Mike P.

*By normal, I mean looking like not addictions of drugs or wrinkles and bad skin because of smoking.

False. This one almost explains itself, but ill tell you why anyway. The first thing that comes to my head is the Ugly duckling. The duckling becomes the beautiful swan. In the beginning no one excepts her but in the end everyone envy's her which is the opposite of what should happen. You can't just write people off as ugly or pretty. The staryo types are that the glamorous are stupid and the ugly are smart. These are false because movie stars who are often glamorous can later become politicians such as Arnold swarchinager. Also the clothing people wear shouldn't affect what people think of other, though it does. When someone wears Abercrombie clothes then you know that they have monkey to waste and you assume that there rich or snobby but it could have been a gift. There are many other examples some complex some as simple as don't judge a book by it's cover. Also theres a movie coming out about the pig nosed girl which probably has a happy ending about someone who looked through her appearance, like every one should, but most don't

-Earl Marple

P.S. I don't know how to spell swarchinager or staryo sorry. :D

Partly true and partly false, I think that people should of course be given a chance but I also think that people can be ruffly judged on their appearance of things that they can change such as their clothes, hair, and makeup. I don’t think it is okay to judge people on their face, scares, or disabilities. What we were we chose to wear, but if we have a scare from an accident it is something that we didn't have control over and probably couldn't change. But you have to have some balance when judging people because if you only judge someone on what they look like you could find that they only look that way because they haven't shopped for clothes yet or they are unable to buy something. On the other hand someone could look horrible on the outside but seem nice on the inside when everything they have been telling you is a lie and they are only trying to impress you. You must find a balance though so that you don't have to look through 1,000,000 people to find out that about half of the people that are their are not living up to their outfits of living them down.

False.
Nobody can judge with anybody's appearance,
that's a way to putting down somebody's appearance, and nobody want to hear anything bad things about their appearance.

Anonymous said...

i say False and True because people should not be judged about their appearance. you will never know
who they are before you meet them. there is whole lot of difference between outside and inside of them. but people should be judged about how they wear properly . for example, If you show too much of your skin then you are setting a bad example and dont let your pants fall down.

NO WAY, unless they are wearing all black and have the diamond that you saw in the newspaper with the heading "STOLEN: THE LOST DIAMOND OF THE INCAS" and those people have those really cool grappling gadgets and laser scanners and those pretty tuff things that cut a circle in windows and stuff like that...
Usually, people that don't like the looks of a person become best friends with that person.

i actully have to stay you sometimes might have too. if a person has cuts on there rist wheres eye shadow and that have red hair and always looking miserable you probly not want to meet someone like that but dont get me wrong he could be a nice guy but people dress plartly on there mood there in
